Day-Wise Itinerary – Char Dham Yatra (10D/9N)

Route: Haridwar → Barkot → Yamunotri → Uttarkashi → Gangotri → Guptkashi → Kedarnath → Badrinath → Rudraprayag → Rishikesh → Haridwar

Day 1 – Haridwar to Barkot
  • Distance: 210 km | Drive Time: 7–8 hours

  • Highlights: Drive via Mussoorie, visit Kempty Falls, and relax in Barkot.

  • Stay: Barkot

Scenic hill town with lush surroundings; perfect to acclimatize before the Yamunotri trek.

Day 2 – Barkot to Yamunotri Trek and Return
  • Distance: 36 km drive + 6 km trek (one way)

  • Highlights: Early morning drive to Jankichatti, trek to Yamunotri Temple. Take a dip in Surya Kund & perform darshan.

  • Stay: Barkot

Sacred source of Yamuna River and home to hot water kunds & ancient temple rituals.

Day 3 – Barkot to Uttarkashi
  • Distance: 100 km | Drive Time: 4 hours

  • Highlights: Scenic drive along the Yamuna River, check-in and visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Uttarkashi.

  • Stay: Uttarkashi

Holy town on the banks of the Bhagirathi River, famous for its spiritual significance.

Day 4 – Uttarkashi to Gangotri and Back
  • Distance: 100 km (one way) | Drive Time: 3–4 hours each side

  • Highlights: Morning drive to Gangotri via Harsil Valley. Take a holy dip in the Ganges and offer darshan at Gangotri Temple.

  • Stay: Uttarkashi

Day 5 – Uttarkashi to Guptkashi

Day 6 – Guptkashi to Kedarnath
  • Distance: 30 km drive + 19 km trek (one way)

  • Highlights: Drive to Sonprayag, then trek or take helicopter to Kedarnath. Evening darshan of Kedarnath Temple.

One of the 12 Jyotirlingas, this ancient temple lies in the majestic lap of the Himalayas.

Day 7 – Kedarnath to Guptkashi
  • Distance: 19 km down trek + 30 km drive

  • Highlights: Early morning pooja, trek down to Gaurikund, drive back to Guptkashi.

Rest and recover after completing one of the holiest pilgrimages.

Day 8 – Guptkashi to Badrinath
  • Distance: 215 km | Drive Time: 7 hours

  • Highlights: Scenic drive through Joshimath. Evening darshan at Badrinath Temple and dip in Tapt Kund.

  • Stay: Badrinath

ay 9 – Badrinath to Rudraprayag via Joshimath
  • Distance: 160 km | Drive Time: 6 hours

A serene town at the confluence of Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers.

Day 10 – Rudraprayag to Haridwar via Rishikesh
